eggdrop n00b

Hi im fairly new to setting up eggdrop and was doing quite well until i tried to start the bot and it gave me this error
"Missing name for redirect"
Ive gone over my config file and am lost as to what may be the problem?
can someone maybe give me some advice please

btw im using eggdrop1.6.15

I don't see any reason at all for this error.

Have you tried installting any scripts befoe launching the bot for the first time? (aisde from the default ones that come with eggdrop).

If so, remove them, and install them after you have got the bot running.

It may well be that you havn't finished configuring one of them, by missing a setting, or that the script is no longer compatible.

I have only compiled the bot and done the configurations following the guide on the site here,no scripts at all as of yet.Before i tried 1.6.15 i tried 1.6.9 and got the same error?

Can you copy and paste here everything that is printed to the shell upon starting the eggdrop?

If that is all you get, it is definitely shell related and not eggdrop related.

If you do for example: "bla >" in the shell, you will get that error message.

Copy and paste what you are typing to start the bot.

It strongly sounds like you are not typing the right command.
