Can anyone help me??

I am trying to setup an eggdrop (version 1.6.10) to run on the local machine

but i get the following error:

[01:02] * Hostname self-lookup failed.
[01:02] Attempt to kill un-allocated socket 0 !!

Any ideas on what i need to do

hostname www.microsoft.com
as root.
