mysql read/write

hello i have one script.. and i want to work with mysql.. how i can send one variable like $owner on one table on one database and after that when i press !owner the bot reads the specific table and returns the nickname? can someone help me? or any guide to underestand how it works?

should be very easy to do, but you need the mysql API loaded to make tcl interact easy with the sql db
