The flaw with bahamut is that, people can see channel bans even if they are not present in a channel.

/mode #channel +b

Now this clearly indicates, if some one wants to evade bans... they can clearly do so by checking what type of range and mask has been used to ban their nick!ident@host.domain.com and with that in mind can switch it to something which doesn't match and enter the channel.

my point was that [chanbans] proc has nothing to do with "stuck" bans, it simply returns a list of current IRC channel bans, not bot bans, so "stuck" bans are irrelevant in that context

In my case the ban remains in the channel ban list even though I am using +dynamicbans. Other bans will be removed after 2 hrs; not those I have "stuck" using ".stick ban".

okay but the "sticky ban" notion is implemented by eggdrop and means something in eggdrop's context only, it has no equivalent/counterpart on IRC and doesn't mean anything in IRC's context - you either have a ban on channel or you don't

Am talking about /mode #channel +b. The following are all "sticky" bans held there permenanetly by the bots until I make them "un-sticky".

No one matching those hostmasks can enter at all. Saves a lot of rubbish being put into a channel as with the dynamic bans.

BTW those are DALnet Oper cycling bots. Sodden things crop up all over the place apparently looking for spam(?).

Strange, i have exactly same probleme right now!

Yaap.. And max-bans in config was 20.. That was the problem.. After unban some, bot was setted the ban successfully ;)

Bot is desynched? or the channel. If so give it a kick then let it rejoin back in.
OR maybe the tcl script which you use doesn't ban the user, just only kicks it or there is a problem with it.
