DALnet no ident respond = auto killed

Mostly jade.*, broadway.* connect unresolved idents as well. Basically most shell providers now adays are now required to have identd installed so on connection to an irc server if they don't resolve the user's ident, the server rejects the connection.

Doesn't matter if mIRC is running or not. The winident script detects if the port is already open or not. Make sure that "set my-ip" is correctly set in the bot configuration file. I use my actual IP (as it appears on DALnet). I have found that using "localhost" is a tad 'iffy'.

your windrop should come with a "winident1.2.tcl" (if not, don't bother to ask and use google!), set it up and use it. but make sure 113 is closed while bot is connecting, since the script will try to listen itself on it ^-^.

If you are using mIRC all the time the bot is running you can alternivly (not both!) set
view -> options -> connect -> IdentD
Enable IdentD Server -> on
Enable only when connecting -> off

My eggdrop (windrop) get auto killed on DALnet beacuse of no ident respond. i do have the ident port 113 open

how do i get the eggdrop (windrop) to responde the ident request on port 113 ??? thnx for help
