You might also want to brush up on wildcards.

The basic ones used in ban formats are normally:

*'s and ?'s

? matches any single character.
* matches 0 or more characters of any type.

Same as *!*@* affects everyone :p

or *!*@*.nl affects all .nl users.

I'm just wondering what way the wildcards work on the bot? Can I just place a random wildcard in the middle of the hostmask for example if I have:

.+ban *@h-43-64-*-*.hello.eircom.net

Will the bot read that as:

.+ban random@h-43-64-random-random.hello.eircom.net

Or do the wildcards have to be put in, in a particular way. I'm looking to have the bot ban a member who's hostmask changes at all the * but the rest says the same, could you help me?
