mIRC needs to know your local IP address in order to be able to send out correct DCC requests; usually it's obtained automatically, but sometimes that automatic set is incorrect

you probably need to fix this by configuring Tools/Options/Connect/Local Info

i recently switched from using trillian to using mIRC. when i was using trillian dcc'ing into the bot worked. now with mIRC it doesn't. the bot doesn't even acknowledge the dcc. is eggdrop not mIRC friendly?
