Well, lomag is one of the best providers in the list..There are many others too..There is some practical advice on "finding a shell" here: http://www.egghelp.org/shell.shtml
If you follow this i dont think you will have a problem.

right now i am currently shell'd on lomag (lomag.net). this being my first shell, i guess i really cant compare it with any others. i have been looking around and asking people there recommendations.
i'ma go back thru the shell list on egghelp.
but i would still like to hear any yeah or neah's anyone can give. much appreciated
