You can (somewhat) convert a older userfile to a new one using the weed script in you scripts/ folder.
Again, its explained in detail in the REDME file that comes with your eggdrop.

yes you do

1.1.5 cannot share with 1.3 and above

Since you dont specify your old eggdrop's version number, all I can tell you is to read the part about upgrading in the README file in your eggdrop root dir.

I have installed the latest eggdrop to a very old version of eggdrop with a user file from like the mid 90's. I try to share the user file to new eggs I install and it connects fine if I have them both set for passive, but when I try to set all the leaf bots as +s from the hub bot with the old user file, it connects and then dies after trying to send the user file. Do I have to convert the old user file somehow? Is this a known issue?
