never mind, i used the preinstall feature on my ircd and it did that and i tryed installing it manually and it worked fine, thanks for the help

that line was commented out, and it gave the same error, and then i tryed using it and it still gives same error

English is the default language, so just comment out the line saying

addlang "english"

in your config file.

yes there is and there is a core.english.lang in there and im asuming thats what its trying to find since thats the language im using. So i dont know what to do

It's telling you what's wrong. In your eggdrop folder there should be a ~language folder.

I installed my eggdrop correctly and everything but when i try to run it i get

[20:10] LANG: No lang files found for section core.
Eggdrop v1.6.17 (C) 1997 Robey Pointer (C) 2004 Eggheads

and nothing for eggdrop is loaded if i ps x

anyonw know what my problem is? is it with my installation or my config file?
