You know, that's a very well made point. I looked at it as taking an open source script and paying someone to, rather than instruct me, just do it. However, I do like your point.

Either way, I'm moving on to a completely fresh script. Same premise, but from the ground up. If anyone is interested in this, feel free to contact me. Thanks.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Oct 27, 2004 1:27 am

Maybe you should try contacting the author of the script, It wouldnt be very nice if someone edits his script and gets paid for it...
(í'm not interested btw)
Statistics: Posted by metroid — Wed Oct 27, 2004 1:25 am

I presently utilize War Manager (revision, posted open source) to manage a channel I run where people meet up to play multiplayer games. It's a tremendous script, but it doesn't exactly meet our needs. The script as it is right now is more focused on managing a single clan playing a handful of games against other clans. I am looking for a few revisions which will make the script more conducive to what we are trying to do which is allowing people in the channel to post active and upcoming games, allow people to !add themselves to the games (already a working function of the script I currently use), see which games are open and upcoming, see which games they are signed up for, etc. For those of you familiar with the script, you'll notice that it already provides the functions above. Again, however, it's more focused on managing a clan.

I am more than willing to pay for your efforts. I am not looking for someone to hold my hand and teach me TCL in the process, nor am I looking for someone who I can send requests to every day for updates and revisions. I simply want a clean script which is revised to better meet our needs, plain and simple.

Please be someone who is knowledgable enough to look at this as more than, "I'll give it a shot."

Payment is negotiable. Shells, payment per hour, etc. is up for discussion. I don't have the know-how or the time to educate myself, so I'm happy to pay someone to help.

If you're interested, please contact me. Thanks for reading.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue Oct 26, 2004 9:10 pm
