Why dont you use a clone detection Script ?

well that can be fixed by using a limit script anyway so .. but isn't the irc network checking for open proxys ?? if so there no point for u double checking this..

As user said this is pointless. Testing an ip if it's an open socks or web proxy will take you a lot. Anyway, in case of a join-flood your eggdrop will die upon tring to check them all.

Proxies on ports 8080 and 3128 are usually NOT socks4/5. (they're web proxies, the default port for socks is 1080) So probing those ports to check for socks behaviour would most likely be pointless.

my channels get heavy sock clone flooding in this 2 days, anybody have the tcl to ban clone socks4/socks5 via 8080 and 3128 port who join the chan? please help. thanks
