yes bans get saved to file... so you wont lose your bans as long as the bot saves before the error(which is what you should look into.. why is it erroring?).. when ban-time is reached a ban gets removed from the channel.. sound to me like you want to look at ban-time setting.

but it only activates a ban on the channel when it sees
someone join who matches that ban.

So if i understood correctly, it removes the ban for X user, but when a user with X address joins it re-activates the ban. But does the bot save it in some folder, because sometimes the bots crash because of some error or the server's error, does it lose all bans after the crash or what?

And i set it to 0 but however it's still unbanning everyone.
