The nick could also be used making the bot use the altnick, If the altnick is used it will prolly have a nick with a number behind it.

Start the bot and leave it running in the foreground. Observe the messages the bot gives in the shell.

When i run: eggdrop -m eggbot.conf
i get this response

Telnet to the bot and enter 'NEW' as your nickname.
OR go to IRC and type: /msg Code hello
This will make the bot recognize you as the master.

i tryed msging it, made different nicks, and i tryed telnet i'm not sure why its not going on irc. i double checked that i put in the server correctly to. any help would be great!
