/CTCP botnick CHAT is not a telnet it's a DCC Chat (aka party line) session with your bot.
Statistics: Posted by Alchera — Fri Sep 10, 2004 9:59 pm

Have you tried: /CTCP bot CHAT ?

Just tried it I didn't think about telnetting into the bot, I am assuming that is what that command does. How do I actually do it though if i telnet to the bots address I am going to just end up in my shell.
Statistics: Posted by tidy — Fri Sep 10, 2004 7:59 pm

I for the life of me can not remember where the option is to allow console controls through a message or query window rather than DCC. I got lingo phone service and can no longer use the DCC console. Strange, I can connect to everyone via DCC chat except my bot. I checked the hosts and it tells me it recognizes me but will not connect a DCC chat with me. If someone could please refresh my memory on how to allow console control through query or msg windows I would appreciate it. I am using the latest stable release of egg.
Statistics: Posted by tidy — Fri Sep 10, 2004 6:56 pm
