In DCC (with the bot) you have to do all of these steps to add a new user:<br><div class="codebox"><p>Code: </p><pre><code>.+user (username-to-add).+host friendsnick!hisident@hishost.and.domain.com (can use wildcards).+chattr (username) +/-[flag(s)] .chpass (username) (password-here).save</code></pre></div>Then try asking your friends to DCC.<br>If that doesn't work them simply, do:<br><br>.+host friendsnick!<a href="mailto:hisident@hishost.and.domain.com">hisident@hishost.and.domain.com</a> (can use *'s)<br><br>Now the hosts you add will be added on your username, the bot owner then try asking your friends to DCC with the bot and login to partyline using the same password as you do. Hello there!<br><br>I got a problem with my DCC chat:<br><br>98% of the users can`t connect to my bot!<br><br>They register and connect just as usual (./msg botty hello ./msg botty PASS passwd ./dcc CHAT botty or /ctcp botty chat) but they don`t get any response from eggdrop-he doesn`t want a pass, nothing happens!<br>We even tried to send the pass without any request of the bot...<br><br>Thats what eggdrop loggs: <br><br>First without registering<br><br><br>[botty(dcc)] [19:31] Refused DCC chat (no access):<a href="mailto:ponyboy@rides.a.big.floppy.donkey.dick">ponyboy@rides.a.big.floppy.donkey.dick</a><br><br><br><br>Then after registering<br><br><br>[botty(dcc)] [18:24] CTCP CHAT:  from ponyboy (<a href="mailto:ponyboy@rides.a.big.floppy.donkey.dick">ponyboy@rides.a.big.floppy.donkey.dick</a>)<br><br><br>and then<br><br><br>[botty(dcc)] [18:24] Password timeout on dcc chat: [ponyboy]<a href="mailto:ponyboy@rides.a.big.floppy.donkey.dick">ponyboy@rides.a.big.floppy.donkey.dick</a><br><br><br>I got telnet-protection on, my connection timeout is 20 and ident timeout is 9.<br><br>It can´t be the firewall or the router cause some users can actually join the partyline!<br>The hostname of the bot and the users hostnames are also ok [just because they just registered a sec. before].<br><br>The client does nothing besides telling after some time that the connection timed out [error 10060]!<br>Thanks in advamce for your help!<br><br>Ps:I know that this question was asked many times, and I searched and read nearly every topic on egghelp.org about this issue but I couldn´t solve my problem.<p>Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue Aug 24, 2004 2:35 pm</p><hr />
