For more information ---&gt;<a href="http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html#chanmode" class="postlink">irc channel modes</a>.The eggdrop command that controls all channel settings is called <a href="http://www.egghelp.org/commands/channels.htm#chanset" class="postlink">chanset</a>. This, and every other basic DCC command, have built-in help menus that explain all this in much greater detail. Type <strong class="text-strong">.help chaninfo</strong>, or read the informative <a href="http://www.egghelp.org/commands/channels.htm#chaninfo" class="postlink">channel command reference</a> that Slennox has graciously provided for your egg-ertainment <img class="smilies" src="https://forum.eggheads.org/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Wink"> The DCC/telnet command that <em class="text-italics">should</em> have been entered:<br><strong class="text-strong">.chanset #genesisweb chanmode +nt-isml</strong>, followed by <strong class="text-strong">.chansave #genesisweb</strong> to make sure it sticks <img class="smilies" src="https://forum.eggheads.org/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Wink"><blockquote class="uncited"><div><div class="codebox"><p>Code: </p><pre><code># Do you want to enable invites (+I modes)? set use-invites 0</code></pre></div></div></blockquote>I'm not sure what server your bot is connected to, but unless it's Efnet or other +I compatible network, the <strong class="text-strong">use-invites</strong> variable has no effect nor value.<blockquote class="uncited"><div><div class="codebox"><p>Code: </p><pre><code>proc evnt:init_server {type} {   global botnick   putquick "MODE $botnick -iw" }</code></pre></div></div></blockquote>This is what your bot will do when it first connects to a server successfully. The mode "i" refered to here is a personal mode (invisible), and has nothing to do with channel modes. I have to manually set -i and that gets very tiresome.<br><br>For use with sentinel the bot must not be set enforcing -i.<br><br>So how can i stop the bot settin +i when it joins a channel without havin to enforce -i in the chanset to get the bot to take invite off- as this conflicts with sentinel.<br><br>Kx<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="https://forum.eggheads.org/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=5281">Kx</a> — Sat Aug 14, 2004 8:04 am</p><hr />
