The short answer would be no, they are not the same.
Statistics: Posted by greenbear — Sun Jul 11, 2004 10:57 pm

Eggdrop 1.6.10 is quite outdated and so is eggdrop1.6.12.
But still if you wana compare them, to the newer versions (eggdrop1.6.16) they will surely have modifications and updates. However 1.6.10 and 1.6.12 are close together (near-to) old versions, so they almost might have the same files.

You can do one thing is to download both source files from ftp.eggheads.org and compare their help and language files to check.

*** For the HELP FILES ***
If you still have both the versions or if they are availiable for download, go to the eggheads ftp server and download them. Unzip them into seperate folders and see the files in the directory. Search for files ending with 'help' in all sub directories.
Example xxxxx.help ===> *.help

Also you can find help documents in the format extensions of .doc or .html in the /docs folder. Obviously as newer versions are released, older functions are updated and so the same goes for the help files. They wont be totally different on the newer versions when compared to the older verions, but they might be a bit modified, for example newly added functions, fixed bugs etc.

*** For the LANGUAGE FILES ***
For the language files you can compare your eggdrop1.6.12 to the latest eggdrop1.6.16. All language files are in the /language folder. I presume, the newer versions will have support for more languages, than the older ones. They will have newer and more user friendly language files than the older ones as well, helping with new functions and newer added features of the eggdrop, rather than the old files.
Example: core.xxxxxx.lang ===> *.lang
Statistics: Posted by awyeah — Sun Jul 11, 2004 10:48 pm
