I heard whispers of a newer version of GreetWonder that was modified for the newer eggdrop versions, but the links to the file in those old whispers I heard are dead.

In the meantime, I did manage to fuss around with an existing greet script and get some of what I need through simple ifs and elses, but I don't know how to change the ordering of the greets. It will have to do for now, I guess.

DD
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Fri Jun 04, 2004 3:39 pm

Does anyone know if this version of greetwonder I read about that works with eggdrop 1.6 is still available anywhere? That script had just the features I want. Nothing else I've found comes close. What I'd like is:

Greet users based on nick (so people who enter through the java interface will get a reminder to change their nick)

Greet users based on whether the bot knows them or not (so new people will be introduced to the channel & the bot)

Greet users or not based on whether they are ops or owners or what-have-you (so certain groups can be excluded from having to see the greetings all the time)

Ability to greet with more than one line (NOT random greets!).

That old script seemed just about right. Any suggestions? (Aside from writing my own from scratch - I have practically no scripting or programming skills.)

Thanks,
DD
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Fri Jun 04, 2004 8:20 am
