It will not do that. It would be a standalone job if anything at all. Infact, since I presented my mysql.mod I've recived some mail about this kind of feature. Seems like they want to fully integrate their IRC channel into the web.

In the future? Perhaps. Someone around here was working on a mysql mod. I am not sure if it can do what you're asking though.
