Ya, that is very annoying. I wish it wouldn't issue the /who command.
The only solution I can offer is for you to get ircN. They have a patch designed for the /who command.

You can then set the max number of clients in a channel that the /who will be ignored. In my case, I never want to see /who, so i set the max to 10.
This way, any channel I join with 10 or more users, the /who will NOT be done.

***
actually, i just checked ircn.org and they don`t offer a link for it anymore... kinda wierd. It was very useful for psybnc.

unfortunately, i didn`t keep the patch on my pc
Statistics: Posted by j0n — Tue May 18, 2004 11:26 am

Seems like with psyBNC, everytime I join a large channel (250+ users), I get disconnected from the server with the error message (Max Sendq Exceeded). Then it automatically reconnects, joins the same channel and again I get disconnected again until one of the ops ban me.

It may be because the script is doing /who everytime it joins a channel, which results in too much data being sent. I use HIX Script and I've ctrl+f for "/who" in all the scripts and I haven't found anything. I doubt that it's actually the script in the mIRC and it could be a problem with psyBNC. I've talked to a lot of people who uses psyBNC about this problem and they haven't offered any solutions. Is there anyway to fix this?
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue May 18, 2004 10:59 am
