This is intentional. To compare a nick against the banlist everytime a nickchange happens could be a performance issue under big nickfloods. If you really want to have nick!*@* banmasks then you can use tcl to solve it.

hi.
my bot does not perform the kickban if the banned nick comes into the channel under a different (not banned) nick and changes to his banned nick after entering the channel.
is this a known problem? is there a way around it?
(I am using eggdrop v1.6.7)
