Which efnet servers did you add to your config. 1)

And you can always telnet the bot, there should be some more descriptive erorr msg's there(if any). 2)

where can i see if its even connected to the server? if i just try to message the bot after its launched i get no such nick

EFnet is a network, not a server.

Do the bot connect to irc at all, or just dont appear in your channel.
Which efnet servers did you add to your config.

hi all,

i just installed eggdrop for the first time and everything went fine until i launched my bot

i got the same message:

and my bot doesn't appear in the channel either

you said it could be that the server doesn't support it, but the server is efnet, don't think they don't support it

I am using eggdrop1.6.15 and i have read carefully the installation guide but i'm having problems getting my bot on IRC.
When i type ./eggdrop -m it gives the following:
