You probably mean channel key, not password, anywa, you can make it join a channel with a specific key and even you can make it learn that key if it's beeing changed or something. Do a ".help chanset" and read about the "chanmode" thing. Also, try a ".dump join #thechannel key" if you don't want to read

i tried the .+chan commsnd and tried .-chan to try taking it out eventually what i done was totally recompiled the eggy redong the .cnf and started it again with only 1 chanel in the actuial .cnf then added the chanels like u said .+chan and seemed to work that way doesnt seem to like the chan passwords at the end rite enough of the .+chan but thanks for your reply

First you should try a ".+chan #thechannel" via the party line (telnet or dcc chat with the eggdrop) and see what happens and second, you should check the "net-type" variable in the .conf file and change it according to the irc server he is sitting on.

i had my eggy set up on 3 channels then we had some netplits one server went down but the server the eggy was to join was still up now the eggy will only join 1 of the channels it is supposed to join when i msg the eggy to try and get it to join the other 2 channels it says it is already there has there been any problems like that before can u let me no. i hope this makes sendce to someone [/b]
