Hi.

I have my eggdrop installed on a server out there on the big ol internet. And in order to help figure out a problem with my new USRobotics 8000-A router, i have been using her logging functions to show the dcc stages.

DCC Chat is no problem. Can do DCC chat with anyone, works fine. SEND on the otherhand, doesnt work at all.

what she gives me is these a lot

[00:16:43] <Natsuki-Chan> [00:16] DCC connection failed: SEND 299_02bhp.jpg (Weirdo!~Seb@(my external IP))
[00:16:44] <Natsuki-Chan> [00:16] (Error 0)

[13:24:20] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:24] DNS resolved (my external ip) to (my hostname)
[13:24:29] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:24] DCC connection failed: SEND 1077672242115.jpg (Weirdo2!~sebreid@(my external ip)
[13:24:29] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:24] (Unforseen error 2)

No net: connects at all.

a normal file transfer looks like this

[13:42:27] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:42] DNS resolved (some comcast ip)
[13:42:28] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:42] net: connect! sock 10
[13:42:28] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:42] DCC connection: SEND ggx_dizzy_041.jpg (*****)
[13:42:33] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:42] net: eof!(read) socket 10
[13:42:34] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:42] Completed dcc send ggx_dizzy_041.jpg from *****

DCC Gets work fine as well

<Natsuki-Chan> [13:55] DNS resolved (my external ip) to (my hostname)
[13:56:01] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:55] Begin DCC send img20040325232440.jpg to Weirdo
[13:56:02] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:55] filesys/incoming/img20040325232440.jpg sent to !Weirdo -- Weirdo! on #catgirls
[13:56:06] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:55] net: connect! sock 12
[13:56:08] <Natsuki-Chan> [13:55] Finished dcc send img20040325232440.jpg to Weirdo

DCC Transfer for the bot is 1024 - 65535
Same range is on my irc client and NAT

If you can provide any advice on this i would be grateful. It occurs no matter how the irc client resolves my hostname. If i set it to run from server, get the ip from my PC, or even use a specified ip. It fails.

I have set the virtual server settings in my router to reflect the portrange i have added on my client.

thanks
Statistics: Posted by Weirdo — Mon Mar 29, 2004 8:52 am
