255 char in party lines

Hello, why eggdrop (v1.6.15) can't .say to channel 255 char? (255 - ASCII code of this char) And i can't use it in party-line too. Will it be fixed in v1.6.16? And last question: when it (v1.6.16) will be done, i understand that you tire of this question ;)
