When the command is transmitted to the bot he says the following error message:

-Botnick- Your password has been set before, you don't need to set it again. Simpy type: [/msg Botnick auth <password>] to authenticate yourself.


How do I fix the pass command so that it will work to change passwords? It works fine to set first time passwords only.

I'm trying to do some password changes.

chpass works fine within the bot.

But - "/msg bot pass oldpassword newpassword" - does not work from the main channel window. Does it need to be activated or something? It comes back with -

-Bot- Your password has been set before, you don't need to set it again. Simpy type: [/msg ABxDude auth <password>] to authenticate yourself.

/msg botnick pass <password>
Sets a password, which lets you use other commands, like ident. Ops and masters need a password to use ANY op or master command.

/msg botnick pass <oldpass> <newpass>
