Botnet not sharing channel settings.

Channel settings where never copied from the hub.

You may note in the config file, under the share module, the following comment "this provides the userfile sharing support".

Channel files have never been shared accross the botnet, and I doubt they ever will.

The only way to change channel settings on all bots, is to use a betnet script, like netbots.tcl

.netbots does list all netbotted bots. They all have the netbots flag set speciefied in each netset.tcl.

Checked all netset.tcl's. All have the same key set.

Upgraded to netbots v4.05. Had no effect when I tried it on the first bots yesterday.

Oh, bugger. All seems to work now. Well, the netbot commands do. Blargh, lets assume there was a severe lag yesterday. Don't know what else it was. Makes me wonder why .netbots worked yesterday and .netchanset didn't though...

Thing is, channelsettings are still not copied from hub as it should do but at least I can now change it all with .netchanset.

2 steps to check.

Make sure that all your bots, setup with netbots are listed when you type ".netbots", if not, add them with ".netbots add ".

Second, make sure that all the bots have the same nb_key in each netset.tcl

Odd problem, I remember this working before but apparently it doesn't any longer.

I have a botnet with 1.6.2 and 1.6.5 eggies running 3.60 netbots.

It seems channelsettings are no longer shared between hub & leafs. Whatever I change on the hub, it does not get to the leafs.

The bots link fine, share userfiles, channels are +shared and hub & leafs got the correct flags (+ghp/+gs).

Also, stuff like .netchanset ain't working. Tried .netbots a second ago, that one works giving me all linked bots. Netsay won't work either. Maybe other stuff as well, haven't checked yet.

Oh yeah, there is also a seperate botnet linked to my hub but nothing is shared between my botnet and that one.

Where do I start looking ?

PS : I am in the proccess of updating netbots but so far it doesn't solve my problems it seems.
