Thank you very much for your assistance. I managed to get it to work.

I was adding their host name as a strait IP number, when actually ircd was reading their whole address ie: *!*@ipnumber-number-number-number.dl.lu.ip.net

So that when i only added the starit ip number, it was not finding them.

Thank you very much for your time....Now if i can only get services to work...
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Fri Nov 28, 2003 2:10 pm

eggdrop recognizes users by hostmask... so check his hostmask. You can see if the bot recognizes a user with the .channel command.. it will list his HANDLE if the bot knows him.. if not it will be a *
Statistics: Posted by gumbydammit — Mon Nov 24, 2003 12:28 am

I am running IRCD from my computer here at the house. Have a 4 gig connection and few users, mostly friends that i game with and family.

IRCD is setup and functioning well. I setup and installed my eggdrop bot. He connects to the server/channel and everything looks good.

I cannot however get the bot to autoop the people that need it. I have the flags set as i have read on this forum and in the manual.

[quote] HANDLE PASS NOTES FLAGS LAST
<ARF> widgeteye no 0 ahjmnoptx never (nowhere)
<ARF> #knightmare amoG never[/quot]

But the bot will not op them. It op's myself and i have the same flags that this guy does. Anyone know whats up with that?

i even added him as a owner in the config file....

Assistance is greatly appreciated.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sun Nov 23, 2003 7:26 pm
