eggdrop won't connect to irc server

OK, I got the bot to connect. I forgot that I got the following error after I removed the script:
'hostname self-lookup failed' (and something about 'set my-ip')

So I set my-ip to 192.168.xxx.xxx, not good obviously. I have it no on my externel ip so it works.
But before my-ip wasn't set but it connected anyway. Why this sudden change? I have a dynamic IP so it's not very practical if I have to modify the config file everytime my router gets a new IP.

I downloaded Murf's googler-script from one of these pages and installed it in my eggdrop. When I rehashed, it reported an error and the bot stopped. So I removed the script to get it back online but it wouldn't connect anymore. I started it with the -n switch and I got this output:

[23:58] DNS resolved irc.myserver.be to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
[23:58] net: connect! sock 8
[23:58] Connected to irc.myserver.be
[23:58] net: eof!(write) socket 8 (Connection refused,111)
[23:58] Disconnected from irc.myserver.be

This is with all servers of the network I tried to connect on.

A clue anyone?
