botnetop: eggs not getting opped

Try running through the steps at http://www.egghelp.org/faq.htm#200 to rule out all the usual causes of the bots not opping one another.

They look fine when I type that command and they are using the correct hosts/ports as they are linking without problems.

I doubt it has anything to do with the number of bots on the botnet (10 seems like a very reasonable number).
Can you paste your botnetop settings ?
And log on to one of your bots then type .channel #yourchannelname you should be able to see a handle for each of the bots that are on the botnet.
It should look like this:

etc...

Otherwise something is wrong and they are not being recognized by each other (probably because of a bad or missing host). You will need to add the correct hosts using .+host

I have a botnet of 10 bots (all have botnetop loaded) and this just happened recently. A bot disconnects, comes back to the channel and it doesn't get opped like it used to. I have to restart the bot then it will be opped by the other bots. Yesterday, it happened to one of my bots.. today, 2 of the bots didn't get opped after it returned to the channel after a disconnect from the irc server (a restart of the bots didn't work.. had to manually op them) . I think this is because I have too many bots that had the botnetop script loaded?
