That sounds like a case of "too many open files", where the coder forgets to close some when he has finished with them.
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Mon Oct 27, 2003 8:21 am

Sounds more like a retarded tcl coder...try removing the scripts one by one and see if you notice any difference
Statistics: Posted by user — Sun Oct 26, 2003 8:32 pm

Ok, so I'm kind of new to this linux thing. I loaded linux on my old computer to play around with it. Then I decide to run an eggdrop on it. I spent a night setting it up, getting some TCL scripts to go along with it, and got it up and running (surprisingly). The problem is that all the tcl commands (I'm using the .wz weather script, a !bash (.org) script, and a !seen script) work for about 5 minutes after the bot joins the channel, and after that it won't respond to anything. It will still DCC chat, and respond to commands in there, it just doesn't like the channel commands. If anybody has any idea what it is, let me know! (I have the right versions for my eggdrop version, but maybe it was in the wrong section of a site)
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sun Oct 26, 2003 6:06 pm
