the tcl manual says

logfile [<modes> <channel> <filename>]

so you should be right,
but the bot doesn't recognize this command.

any ideas?

Better just to change this in the config and do a rehash of restart

I'm not sure about this, but try in dcc/telnet .tcl logfile jpk #channel (logs/channel.log) (this probably wont work)

i'm new here and didn't find an answer, so i thought i post my question.

I set up my eggdrop, everything fine.
my question

in the chat with my bot i told
.+chan #somechannel

the bot joined that channel, still fine.

now i need to tell the bot to log the chat ( jpk)
that's going on in that channel.

can i do this via the chat with my bot or do i need to edit
the config files?

i like this to be done by using the irc client.

any help appreciated :P
