Damn, haven't noticed that you've posted the name of the archive. Guess you haven't noticed my "if is indeed an .tar.gz archive." change it's name from .tar.gz to .tcl then try edit it with an text editor and see what happens. first unzip it with "gunzip" then use "tar -xf"<br><br>type: gunzip &lt;file&gt;  (to unzip .gz files)<br><br>type: tar -zxvf eggdrop1.6.10.tar.gz (to extract from an eggdrop)<br><br>type: tar -xf &lt;file&gt; (to extract a tar file)<br><br>x tells tar to extract<br>v tells tar to give verbose messages to the user<br>f tells tar to work on<br>z tells tar the files is still zipped<br><br>[note] some files seem to like being unzipped before the tar command is used.<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="https://forum.eggheads.org/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=3472">Dedan</a> — Wed Sep 17, 2003 2:23 pm</p><hr />
