You could add telnet@<his hostmask> and tell him to telnet to the bot's port if all else fails - but how is he trying to get on the partyline via irc? The first ident message means he passed. He then needs to /ctcp <bot> chat - this should make the bot connect to him. If his firewall blocks that, then he could try a /dcc chat <bot> to connect out to the bot.
Statistics: Posted by tainted — Thu Sep 11, 2003 2:26 am

Hey folks,

I've got this trouble with my bot.

In the config file I've listed myself and a friend as the bot owners. Now, I can log in to the party-line, but he can't.

He's tried:

/msg <botnick> ident <password> [nickname]

But still to no avail. He's tried it when I'm in the party-line and I see:

<SHKBot> [15:18] (HOST MASK REMOVED) !*! IDENT CLyne
<SHKBot> [15:18] (HOST MASK REMOVED) !*! failed IDENT CLyne

He's behind a firewall.. so how can I get around this?

Or, is there another way to let him into the party-line?
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Sep 10, 2003 11:45 am
