Tcl Problem !

if the bot is logging it why not use an other kind of stats script to show them in stead of using sucky mircstats witch aren't free by the way... so why pay for something that can be free and ill honnestly say ive seen mutch nicer stats for eggdrops then there are for mirc, they generaly suck big time. Most eggdrop stats look pretty deasend to me.

I Know Jules personally and have used his tcl with no problems. I Dont quite see what you want exactly. it seems from your posts that you want the tcl to do magic and create the html for you and upload to the webserver. MEL Will NOT create the html for you mircstats does that. AND mircstats can download the logfile from your bots shell process it and reupload the finnished html to where you desire. i think its a case of RTFM.

$auto_path is not needed at all.

You seem to be taking support from him over other people.

You must ask your shell provider to install TclLib from http://tcllib.sf.net/

auto_path has nothing to do with it.

If he is honestly worried that they are missing, tell him to use $tcl_libPath and fire off the script that loads them variables.

Don't say it doesn't work, just ntoify him.

Make sure you READ the instructions. You need ot make sure you have loaded everything as asked.

We can't do this for you, so don't ask again.

I'm asking eggdrop experts.... from within a normal tcl prompt I can access $auto_path... but it doesn't appear to exist in eggdrop

CaspeR-MaN. why dont you just use a standard mirc client to do your logging and upload the html using mircstats and cutout the tcl alltogether?

the "mEL 1.6b2 : Couldn't load FTP package! Disabling FTP support!" is not a tcl error, it means what it means, so make sure the pass for the FTP package exists or the FTP package itself exists.

The first error was already answered for you. You need to make sure the ftp package is installed.

After Reinstalling The TCL
The First Error Is This

that thing that converted logs to mirc's log format so you could use it with mircstats & co (which are pisg rip-offs) ?

Not that it's really relevant to this thread/forum/site, and I can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not, but you had it backwards... pisg ripped off mircstats... (Although pisg is better [and free] in my opinion as well)

Yes you are right. I honestly think this tcl is pointless. People say what if i dont use Windowz. then how are you running mircstats? basically the Bot log's the channel. that tcl converts the log to mirc style log then "You" have to download the log to your pc. run it through mircstats, then RE-Upload the finnished html to the same/alternate webspace. why not just use mirc to log the channel from your own pc. run the log through mircstats then only have 1 upload to your specific location. there are batch files included that you can setup to to auto upload/process your files vie CMD FTP. cutting out your eggdrop alltogether. the only other use of this tcl imo is if you are using a windrop which if you hate mirc as i do. is a good alternative
