and : if someone wants to enter the DCC he has go have the correct hotmask AND has to enter his username & password, so i think dcc is quite secure

Was den dcc betrifft, Du kannst in der conf einstellen das auch ops flag p brauchen um access zur Partyline zu haben. Nimm anschliessend den usern flag p weg und ´sie können die Partyline nicht mehr nutzen.

Ich sehe nicht welches Problem Du mit der Hosmask hast.
Im zweifelsfall benutze eine eindeutige Hostmask für den Bot.
z.B Botname!ident@my.domain.com.

His other Problem is with the hosmask, his bot is in the userfile with a hostmask like @*.bla.com. He seems to be afraid that might be insecure.

Problem ist
er hat als hostmask subdomain.domain.com
im users file eingetragen jedoch
*.domain.com , was ich nicht moechte da sonst alle mit subdomains dcc . koennen (da ident auch andere sind)
Dh iptables > telnet sicherer?
Geht das quasi DCC - off, > Scripts ja
