Please can you tell me what do I need to be aware to use funcions like quickban and get_user_by_nick?

I have already made the correct dependences of irc.mod, server.mod and channels.mod and all that stuff, but when the bot runs the function that contains those other functions it gets a segmentation fault. :-?
