Good point. I didnt think about it that way. I guess they can do that, till I come up with a tcl to add the hostmask I want, and remove the old hostmask.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Nov 28, 2001 11:59 am

ok, i'm not sure but i'm assuming i'm correct in believing ident only ADDS hosts, not replaces them? see where i'm going with this? you'd have to remove the obsolete hosts anyway so you'll have to telnet to the bot either way... or you could just simply tell your users to do that. telnet in and change their hosts, i mean. hope i've helped!
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Nov 28, 2001 10:53 am

No dialup users. All cable/DSL, and there ips/hostmask dont change that often, but when they do, it's usually 1, then a day later, someone else, and just goes down the line of about 20-25 users, that i have to keep adding..

Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Nov 28, 2001 3:52 am

Is there a way to make the hostmask more specific when users use the IDENT command? I want to try, and keep a pretty secure botnet, but adding *!IDENT@*.ISP.COM opens my botnet up for abuse. I have 5 bots in a channel with 400+ users, and someone is always trying to mess with the bots. They are pretty secure right now with custom commands, and all, but I hate have to chat the bots every few days, cause someones isp decided it was time for a change.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue Nov 27, 2001 8:32 pm
