it`s not really the dcc port range, you are setting the ports from the telnet section. You may set a port for both users/bot or have them seperate.

Make sure the share module is enabled and that you are adding the correct ip and port when issuing the .+bot command

Also, the ping timeout could be anything... firewall/isp/ you name it.
Statistics: Posted by j0n — Fri Jun 20, 2003 12:55 am

I am working on setting up my first NetBot network and I have been following the examples in "Enhancing your Eggdrop." The botnet itself seems to be configured properly, my bots will link with no problems, but it times out when I trying to update my UserFiles.

My questing is this: Do I need to forward the dcc ports for the eggdrops? I have set up the botnet probably more than three times just to make sure I have not misconfigured something. This is about the last thing I can think tht may possibly be wrong. If one of the guru's out there could help me out I would be extremely grateful.

Here is my current configuration:
1) CatfishZ (Hub)
2) DamienZ (Leaf)

Thanks in advance for your time.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Fri Jun 13, 2003 8:00 pm
