Thanks to everyone that has replied but I solved the problem it just seems that people's ident has to be the same as their name field on their irc client
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Jul 09, 2003 1:48 am

I will past that information as soon as I get it, as the .reset I have done that as well as .rehash too but they are still getting ignored. But I will post two different people's ident reponses as soon as I get someone that is ignored. I will also past the channel list as seen by the bot.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Fri May 30, 2003 3:45 am

Can you paste the output from a whois on 1 user that si working, and 1 that isn't.

Have you tried using ".reset" once the bot becomes a OP anyhow?
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Thu May 29, 2003 4:51 am

No sorry by chance it isn't ops that are getting ignored. It so far appears to only be certain users however I am at a loss as to why the bot would be doing this.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed May 28, 2003 9:10 pm

By any chance, is it people that are ops before the bot enters the channel?

If so, once the bot is an OP, use the ".reset" command int he partyline.

If this fixes things, you will find that the network you are on, is not RFC 1459 complient, thus making it not eggdrops fault.
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Wed May 28, 2003 8:47 am

Hi everyone,

my problem is that I am running a game bot and people have to msg the bot to play, for 99% of people this is no problem, just that certain people are getting put onto a small ignore as the bot thinks they are off channel, although they are on channel. Does anyone know how to fix this or maybe a temporay work around for it?

Cheers,

Nathan
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue May 27, 2003 8:17 pm
