This would heavily depend on how the web-site provides the information.

If it uses its own interface, then the only way would be to create a script, trailored to that site.

If it provides a RDF dump (like PHP-nuke), then there are scripts for this allready.

I sugest reading the Tcl manual, and some of these news scripts, they usuauly use the http package to download the ifnormation, then useing string and match commands, they parse out the required text/

does anybody know a script that can rip news or other stuff from a website and post it in a channel
i know their several script which do this but
do they use something special to do this or would it be possible to adjust these script for other websites ?
