as for the sharing issue, yes, it does happen to me. seems to be a lag related issue. i'm thinking of writing a small script to check that a bot is sharing properly a min or 2 after it has linked (this info can be got from the bot link flags shown in .dccstat and .tcl dcclist - if the G/S is capital the bot still thinks its receiving/sending the userfile from that particular link).

as for userfile, i dunno much about large ones. mine is ~100k, as i only have ~400 users. if i had a 1.5meg userfile it would probably kill gaynewf when it starts sharing on startup :razz:

You should really keep the fanout factor at 10-12 bots per hub.

Let me ask you, do you ever have problems with a leaf bot not actually sharing properly with its hub. vbottree and bottree will report a +, but .who on the LEAF BOT itself will show that quite clearly it is NOT sharing.

This resulted from a Userfile Timeout error that happens during the transfer.

Also - how big is your userfile? Mine has 2200 users in it, and it about 1.5 megs in size.. and I'm wondering if I have to increase memtblsize in mem.c.

Anyway.. Simple linking of two bots. And they fail on authentication stage.
