The simplest and safest way is to follow these steps.

This impliest that the userfiles have the following names. The current on (the new one) is called current.user and the old one is userfile.old

1: Kill the bot, this will prevent any hastles

2: Make a back of the current file using

cp current.user current.user.bak

3: Copy the old file, on top fo the new file

cp usersfile.old current.user

4: Restart the bot, or leave it from the crontab (if setup).

The bot will now use the old file, and have a backup of the new one, just incase.

hehe no
all is working fine
i just changed the hub
and it made a new userlist
i have an old userlist backuped but i don't know how to import the userfile to the hub
is there any command
i saw something like tclsh weed....
but dunno how it works
clear now ?

Sorry - I didn't quite understand the actual problem.

Are you saying that sharing is working, but users channel specific information isn't?

If so, have you enabled global channel sharing?

See the ehancment guide on egghelp.org, about using the +g flags.

i changed the hubbot and now the userfile is there but without any channel records for the users
how can i fix this that the userlist will be used by the hubbot and all records for channels and users will be as on the old one.
