The maker of sitestat told me to change the setting of the PASV to 0 in the ss-ftplib.tcl file.

Thanx for the reply...it helped me determine it was a script problem and not an eggdrop problem.

When the sitestat script is in operation, is has to lock/freeze eggdrop while it performs its operations.

When I say lock, I mean the following. While the bot is performing the script operations to the FTP server, eggdrop can't continue with its code, until the FTP cycle is comlete.

Only improving the speed of the sitestat script will help in this case.

How can I fix?...what causes this?

The eggdrop (1.6.13) is using sitestat 4.5, and the ftp site is using Raiden (latest build) with win2k server installed. Both are hosted on separate T3 links and have plenty of cpu power and RAM.

I have ruled out a lagged IRC server totally.
All functions work (dcc chat, telnet, announcing, etc.)
I deleted and recompiled the bot from scratch...same result.
The lag happens all the time...not just during "peak hours"
I also switched bot hosts to an oc3 link with no change.

I find it odd that the announcing is perfect after initial startup, then suddenly gets worse. Is the ftp site screwed? Is there a setting in eggdrop that needs to be changed?

Im out of ideas...any help would be appreciated
