Many of these scripts are extemly specialised.

You may find that many of them are not even running on eggdrop.

You are best contacting other channels about how they do it.

Thank you for the response ppslim.

Sorry I was not clear on my explaination.

But basically, Ive seen bots that collects data/logs from fileserver adds in a particular channel. Then users can search for particular files using the bot trigger/s like !search
Again im not sure how the script works but it seems to work in real time. Almost like a !seen
I have heard that some uses PHP also. ?

I don't understand what you are trying to search for.

Are you trying to do a search engine search, log search?

It would be impossible to create a search, that would do automaticaly, what the scripts do, when you manualy add records.

The primary reason, when you do a search in the likes of google, the result you want, is not allways there, let alone within the results.

Hello all,
I been using MCfind tcl for my a search eggy which I found going through our tcl database here. But...it was never what I wanted. I need one that can collect data on its own rather then me manually adding to the database.

Can anyone recommend a script that can enable my eggy to collect data from a chan and has public !searh triggers? I have heard of some that uses PHP also? Thanks for any help.
