It's not actualy that hard, and a example isn't exactly needed.<br><br>Lines begining with a "#" are comments. They are there, so the file can have plenty of documentation, without any issues of errors.<br><br>Some of the actual settings have a # infront of them, and the documentation relating to them, usualy mark if you need to change it or not. 99% of the time, these settings are optional.<br><br>All the settings lines, start with "set". This is the command, as may be obvious, to "set" the setting.<br><br>Some areas like channels, and the server list, span multiple lines, or don't start with "set", but by the time you are there, you should see how things are happening.<br><br>If you are having trouble with any specific areas of it, like failure to understand the exact nature of what a settings does, then simply ask, and we will be willing to help.<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="https://forum.eggheads.org/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=2">ppslim</a> — Mon Mar 10, 2003 11:37 am</p><hr />

hey ppl hi.. well i am kind of new at thsi and i have been hopeless trying to get a windrop running ky i downloaded the program.. and i edited the resolv.conf file... i am trying to edit eggdrop.conf, but i can't make head and tail of it.. i don't know if i suppose to keep the "#" sign or delete it.. and wat am i suppose to write after it.. <br><br>can someone plz send me a SAMPLE eggdrop.conf file, only like the first 15 lines or so.. that i can get some clue, cause i keep looking over of what i am suppose to do.. and the thing keeps driving me crazy.. so can u plz just send me a sample .conf file at <a href="mailto:tina_39348@hotmail.com">tina_39348@hotmail.com</a> or paste a few lines in this forum. <br><br>Thx agian...
