Only just heard about bots and want one for my chat room

Yeah, sorry about the downtime, I upgraded both my webservers here and forgot to transfer that site back onto the new system. OOPS

I'm currently working on a new version of the Eggdrops R Us site but this will be my last update to the site.

I am withdrawing from the world of eggdrops, my interest in them has faded over the years and I rarely touch them anymore as I am too busy coding and programming for websites and servers when I'm not actually at work. That and myself and my girlfriend have a baby on the way due to be born in May so I'm gonna be kinda busy.

I'm looking for a manager for eggdropsrus.co.uk at the moment, someone to basically keep the site going and update it when it needs it and effectively take over the day to day running of it. (be a shame to see it die). The right person will get eggdropsrus email addresses, ftp access to the site etc etc. Although the domain name remains mine and it runs on my servers. Thats the deal if anyone's interested email me.

I'm also looking for someone to take over my main projects if anyone is interested:

"The Quickening" - public commands script with 110 commands and help files, Pirch and MIRC scripts for it etc etc.

"Trivia 2000" - Trivia quiz script based on Trivial Pursuit with question files.

"IRCX Patch and Xtools" - IRCx Compatibility for Eggdrop and Xtools script.

Again the right person will get full access to everything I've done on these and whatever new stuff I was working on before I gave up on eggdrops a few months ago. The only proviso is that any existing copyright notices stay in the scripts and packages, especially the IRCx ones.

Basically its been fun and I've had a great time over the years, but I'm 31 years old, got a damn busy life and a kid on the way, time to take stock of my life and settle down a bit I think.

We can run on IRCX, you just need to download a patched version of the bot.

I just noticed that the site is down, but I will contact Ian, and see abotu getting a download hosted on my server.

There are 3 versions you can download

1: Version 1.3.21
2: Version 1.3.23
3: Version 1.5.4*

At this time, there are no download links, though this is due to be fixed later.

MSN chatrooms run a different kind of an IRC server known as ircx. And, AFAIK, I don't think we can run bots on an ircx server. Or yes? I'm still waiting for someone to clarify this.

Please read all the pages on www.egghelp.org.

They provide all the information you need to setting up your first bot.

I am not sure if MSN chatrooms are based on the IRC protocol. If they are, then yes you can, if not (IE, only through a web-browser), then you can't.

Hi ive oly just heard about bots and really want one for my MSN chat room how do i go about getting a bot into my MSN chat room and staying there?
