if you are running an ircserver and eggdrop on the same box, then i imagine the eggdrop would have a very stable connection to the server :)

Hmm, I've opened an server on my box with IRCXpro, and I wanted to know how can I bring an eggdrom into it (im using win 98, plz gimme direct link if there any for downloading eggdrop for this OS).
Another question is, if I would download the eggdrop and set it up into my server, will it stay there after I get disconnect?
