And why may I ask, would you delete the channel file?

There is no need to even have the channel setup in the config file at all.

While it means you can't use ".-chan" for protection (The trick is to think of who had the permissions to do it in the first place), there is no other real reason.

And on a .die and start over? Yes, I agree that the static channel infos are saved in the 'chan' file (or what name you have for it.) but not in the .conf also. If you kill it, remove the chan file and start it again will get it's settings from the .conf file.

Hi

caesar, even if it is a static channel you have nothing to change in the conf file.
Conf file settings are overriden by chan file settings.

.help chaninfo and .help chanset will help you in setting individual settings for what De Kus said.

you probably only set these settings in the eggdrop.conf, also check your .chan file and aply the settings there, too .

If you have flood-chan set to 0:0 then check and see if you have any other TCl script that may do so and even do a check if the settings are not enabled again. Also, after changing the flood-chan to 0:0 do a .chansave and also if is a static channel modify in the .conf file to.

ok why does my bot keep kicking people out of my irc chatroom

i have set it not to

flood-chan 0:0
set flood-msg 0:0

it continues to kick people

i have stoped the bot using

.die

and then starting it again from commandline

what am i missing???
